Wigan Warriors Community Foundation (2022)

WWCF work with local people to promote the rugby league, with a particular focus on encouraging more girls and women into the sport. From hosting free rugby camps to thousands of children every year to offering disability teams, this foundation is aiming to serve everyone in its community.

It was amazing to be brought on board to edit a film that promotes a mission I strongly believe in. These women are truly inspirational and are true advocates for all women in sports. In professional rugby, men are typically paid to play, and most female rugby players will have second jobs and have to give up spare time to commit to the game, even those in the international team.

Puzzleglass and freelance DOP Jess James went along with climbers Dave Fitzgerald and Danaan Markey to Austria and Switzerland to work on the hardest boulders in Europe

We made 3 films, a feature length documentary, a five minute festival version of the doc and another video about climber Martin Keller on the boulder Ninja Skills (8c/8c+) Other aims included increasing brand viability of Moon Climbing through indirect marketing, capturing high quality photographic assets of the 2019 product range for web and catalogue use and increasing overall viewership.

The films received a positive reception being viewed 85,000+ times on Youtube and 150,000+ times on Facebook. The festival version won awards at SHAFF, in the categories 'Best Of Sheffield' and 'Best Climbing Film'. It was also officially selected and screened by The Irish Adventure Film Festival. The films were featured on Epic TV, Outside Magazine, BMC TV and UKClimbing. After the first two films released the Moon Facebook page increased post engagements by 660%, increasing its following by thousands and most importantly inducing a spike in sales for Moon Climbing products.

Dave Goes West is a documentary created by Puzzleglass. Our goal was to create a entertaining documentary about Dave Cook, a friend of ours who has no experience and no training in running marathons. At the same time raising money for Action Against Hunger, a charity who dedicates themselves to saving the lives of malnourished children.

The film is also currently available on Amazon Prime, watch the film here

Cyclotricty/Duncan Booth (2019)

Puzzleglass was commissioned by the e-bike company Cyclotrictiy to make two films, a short documentary about Duncan Booth and a promotional video. Duncan discovered e-biking as a way to keep active and adventurous after being diagnosed with M.S 10 years ago. The first film tells his story.

VICExNME - Music and Addiction - Smoking (Dec, 2019)

Vice and NME commissioned The Smalls, to create a 3-Part Documentary series for Vice's Change Incorporated.

I assisted Roscoe Neil and Jess James in the edit off 'Smoking'. In this particular episode, we explored why so many musicians smoke, and what can be done to fix this lethal problem. The film features host Chris McClure (fag-chugging cover star of the Arctic Monkeys’ debut album), his brother Jon (lead singer of Sheffield band Reverend And The Makers), Dan Gillespie Sells (lead singer of The Feeling), Harry Shapiro (an author who’s written extensively about drugs, alcohol and smoking) and more. “Attitudes are changing,” says Jon McCLure in the film. “But it takes generations to get to where it needs to be.”

I was tasked to edit a mammoth sized documentary shot over 6 months. The goal was to showcase the projects that The Long Well Walk had created in africa and to see the progress of how well they had helped the communities. The original film didn't go as planned after many changes throughout the journey.
